(August 1, 2011 – ATLANTA) – Transwestern’s Atlanta office announced today a significant expansion of the firm’s Tenant Advisory Services team, with the addition of the following professionals:

• Jim Simpson has joined Transwestern as a senior vice president.  Jim has 37 years of experience in Atlanta, representing a wide range of clients, Fortune 500 companies to local firms, select and secure their real estate.  He was most recently with Grubb & Ellis’ Atlanta office where he was consistently ranked as a top producer for that firm.  Jim has completed more than 100 million square feet of office and industrial leases during his career. 
• Allen Brown joins Transwestern as a senior vice president.  With 40+ years of commercial real estate experience, Allen is a recognized expert on the city’s Downtown and Midtown submarkets.  From space use planning and site selection to the acquisition and disposition of facilities and land, Allen has assisted a wide range of local, regional, and national tenants with their real estate needs.
• Harrison Morris has joined as a senior vice president of Transwestern’s Atlanta office.  He has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience, helping tenant clients in the leasing and sales of office and telecom properties.  He was a consistent top producer at his previous firm, Grubb & Ellis, where he was involved in transactions with an aggregate value of more than $100 million. 
• George Cowgill has joined as director of project/construction management, where he will work closely with Transwestern’s tenant brokers, assisting their clients with their relocations and space buildout.  George has 16 years of experience and has been involved with construction projects totaling more than 5.3 million square feet. 
• Adam Simpson has joined Transwestern as associate vice president of the firm’s Tenant Advisory Services team.  Before entering the commercial real estate industry two years ago, he was a sergeant in the US Army infantry. 

“These additions are part of our strategic plan to grow our Tenant Advisory team in Atlanta,” said Bruce Ford, president of Transwestern’s Southeast Region which is headquartered in Atlanta.  “Last year we focused on building our agency leasing group and recruited some of the top names in that field, which helped us significantly expand our property portfolio to nearly 27 million square feet in Atlanta and in Florida.  This year, we’re committed to building up our tenant representation business and we’re very excited these experienced brokers elected to be a part of the Transwestern team.”  

In mid-July, Transwestern announced that 30-year veteran Atlanta tenant broker Ed Easterlin joined the firm.  “We’re planning on making more announcements about the growth of our Tenant Advisory practice as we move further into 2011,” said Ford.  “Like the four new faces we’re welcoming on board today, we’re seeking to add a range of senior, mid-level, and junior professionals that complement our existing team and services.”
