Robert began his career with the Trammell Crow Company in Dallas and became the partner responsible for commercial operations in San Antonio. He left to form Transwestern in 1978. Robert has directed Transwestern's expansion from a small investment building company based in Texas to a major national diversified real estate organization today.

Robert is an active member of the following organizations:

• Advisory Council for the University of Texas Real Estate Center, Founding Member
• Greater Houston Community Foundation, Director
• Greater Houston YMCA, Director

Robert received B.B.A., M.B.A. and L.L.B.
degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
