As Chief Financial Officer, Steve oversees all financial matters of the company, including accounting and reporting, cash management and forecasting and internal audit. Steve also oversees project accounting and the development of national standards and policies for financial projects undertaken in the regions and is a member of Transwestern's board of directors.

Prior to joining Transwestern, Steve was senior controller of Hines Interests, a large privately held real estate development and management company located in Dallas, Texas. He was responsible for overseeing the accounting for Hines' operations in Dallas, including the Dallas Galleria complex. In addition, Steve previously was assistant controller for Ayrshire/Eland Corporation, a privately held residential and commercial real estate company located in Houston, Texas. He also held various positions with KPMG Peat Marwick in Houston.

Steve is an active member of the following organizations:

• National Association of Real Estate Companies (NAREC)
• Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA)
• American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)

Steve earned his B.B.A. with a double major in accounting and management from Texas A&M
University in College Station, Texas. He is a
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and also obtained
the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
